Greater Spin - More Curve

Pitchers and batters are quite familiar with the effect of spin on the trajectory of a ball. Scientists have studied the phenomenon and many have mathematically described the effect. More spin creates more curve, movement, rise, or hop. It's all about deceiving the batter, but until now very few could measure it.

Product Features

  • Displays speed and spin rate after each toss of a RevFire ball.
  • Logs maximum speed and spin each session.
  • Counts the number of pitches.
  • One monitor can track multiple balls used in the same area without conflict.
  • Measures spin rates from 4 to 50+ revolutions per second (RPS) with an accuracy of +/- 0.25 RPS.
  • Speed reading in MPH based on the ball's time of flight over the pitching distance set by the user.
  • Easier to use than a radar gun. No pointing or aiming is required. Coaches can use the monitor anywhere within 40 feet of the catcher. No requirement to be in line with pitches.
  • Pitchers do not tense up from looking into a radar gun.
  • Trainers can show breaking ball progress to students' parents that otherwise can not see it.
  • For use without a coach, the monitor has an Automatic mode of operation and built-in support for placement on the ground next to the catcher.
  • RevFire baseballs and softballs are official size and weight leather balls. They are not for hitting or game play and are easily identified by their black stitching.
  • 30 day money back guarantee
  • Warranty: 6 months for monitor, 45 days for balls.

Training Advantages

  • Pitchers get instant feedback for more effective training. They latch on more quickly to techniques that produce the best breaking ball, sinker, or rise ball. Many pitchers can not readily see the effectiveness of their own breaking ball pitches, but do respond well to objective feedback.
  • Coaches can evaluate pitching ability and technique with hard numbers, gain new insight into training methods, identify pitchers whose spin fades as they tire, and see who's breaking ball is 'on' in the bullpen. The RevFire also adds a powerful new dimension to pitching prospect evaluation.
  • Trainers can monitor pitchers recovering from injury and gauge progress toward pre-injury baselines.

Testimonials

“The RevFire, to me, is the single greatest piece of equipment to improve your pitcher's pitches. I personally LOVE it and use it with all of my advanced pitchers! It's a fantastic teaching tool when working with pitchers that have been practicing moving pitches and trying to master their spins. The RevFire is the only tool I've found that can give a pitcher immediate feedback in regards to the kind of spin she's trying to get, and the spin she's actually getting. For the first time in working with thousands of pitchers over the years, I am able to see developing pitchers actually focus specifically on spin at release instead of just gripping, pitching and hoping as they've always done before!"

Cindy Bristow
Founder, Softball Excellence and former Head Coach: New Mexico State, Wichita State

"Controlled velocity, axis of rotation and total number of rotations are variables that determine ball movement. If you want to grab a player's attention put numbers into the conversation! RevFire technology dramatically focuses attention and calibration on the efficiency in which the ball exits the hand. As our students master their cut fastballs, change ups and curves using the RevFire, they quickly discover if those releases are effective or ineffective. As a result they obtain accurate ball revolutions per second which they can compare and judge improvement. In a short period of time we have experienced great results with 10 to 60 year old pitchers."

John Pinkman
The Pinkman Baseball Academy

“I have found the RevFire to be an invaluable tool in helping my students understand the importance of not only spin rate but also quality of spin. Many coaches have focused on a pitcher’s speed and control because they are easily measured. Now coaches have a tool that can measure spin rate, which directly corresponds to the amount of movement possible for each pitch. I can envision RPS being as common in judging pitchers in the future as MPH is today.”

Mike White
USA Men’s National Team 1995-2007

"Our instructors love the RevFire. It's amazing that we have the technology to measure spin rate. Our students ask for it when they come in to see if they are getting better. They are challenged by the RevFire numbers and are now interested in more than just speed."

Deb Hartwig
National Softball Clinician
Former asst coach at Cal State Fullerton and San Diego State University
