Akadema's new Super Bat is a composite of several pieces of Northern White Ash fused together to make the hardest wood on the market even more durable! Triple-dipped to resist chipping, the Super Bat lasts 6 times longer than the hardest maple bats!
The Super Bats are ash wood bats reinforced with a lightweight carbon and glass fiber braided sock. When functioning as a composite reinforcement, the composite braid exhibits high strengthening properties because it is highly efficient in distributing loads. Because all the fibers within a braided structure are continuous and mechanically locked, the Super Bat has a natural mechanism that evenly distributes the load throughout the bat. The Super Bat's efficient distribution of loads also make braided structures very impact resistant. Since all the fibers in the structure are involved in a loading event, the braid absorbs a great deal of energy before it fails. |
